Occupational Health Nurse – Onsite (Samlesbury)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Flexible Day Shifts (7.5 hours between 07:30–17:30)

We’re working with a leading business to recruit a confident, proactive Occupational Health Nurse to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team based full-time on a key client site in Samlesbury.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a clinically strong OH Nurse who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a supportive team delivering high-quality care at the heart of a busy industrial environment.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping employee health and wellbeing on site, bringing clinical expertise, sound judgement, and a calm, professional presence to every interaction.
What you’ll be doing
In this varied and hands-on role, you’ll be at the centre of a well-established Occupational Health service, delivering a mix of clinical and advisory support, including:
- Delivering health surveillance programmes and managing escalations via OH Technicians
- Providing expert fitness for work assessments and pre-employment health screening
- Carrying out case management with clear, practical recommendations
- Assessing and treating employees presenting with minor illness and injury
- Completing travel health risk assessments and administering vaccinations
- Supporting and contributing to health and wellbeing initiatives onsite
- Attending emergency call-outs when required
- Working collaboratively with the Senior OH Advisor to maintain and develop clinical standards across the team
- Ensuring all clinical practice remains aligned with best practice and professional guidelines
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a confident and capable Occupational Health Nurse who thrives in a busy, client-facing environment and enjoys being part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in Occupational Health or Practice Nursing
- Strong working knowledge of case management and health surveillance
- Confidence in making fitness for work and clinical decisions
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and database systems
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in developing yourself and others
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is curious, adaptable, and motivated to deliver high standards of care while continuously learning and growing within OH.
Working pattern
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- Flexible shifts between 07:30 and 17:30
Location
This is a fully onsite role based in Samlesbury, Lancashire, working directly within a dedicated client environment.
